Why This Convening?
Employers across Vermont continue to face workforce shortages, recruitment and retention challenges, and changing employee needs. At the same time, businesses are finding innovative ways to rethink traditional workplace structures, redesign job responsibilities, and create opportunities for employees who may have previously been overlooked.
This convening will showcase how local employers are partnering with workforce and community organizations to address business challenges while creating pathways to employment and advancement for individuals with disabilities and others facing barriers to employment.
The focus is not only on filling positions — but on reimagining work itself.

During this convening, participants will:
- Enjoy a light breakfast while networking with peers who are working to grow and sustain employment in Vermont.
- Hear from a panel of businesses who successfully partner with community to support employees with disabilities in the workplace.
- Have time for follow-up conversation based on the panel discussion and additional networking with peers.

There will also be a Franklin County ADA Award presentation by HireAbility.
